14 Weeks This Week

We had an appointment last Tuesday and the Dr said everything was going good. The baby's heartbeat is 169 bpm. He told us that we will do our next sonogram at 20 weeks. That means we have about 7 weeks before we find out what the baby is. I think it will be the week after Christmas. Jose really wants to know. I would kinda like for it to be a surprise but our Dr told us if we don't agree, we don't get to know. So, therefore, we will be finding out if the baby is a boy or a girl.

I am really excited that the baby is starting to look more and more like a baby and less like a tiny alien!! My book says the baby is about the size of a fist which is just crazy to me. Jose asks about what is happening each week in the way of development, such as does the baby have eyes or ears yet, etc. He really is excited about all of this, alot more so than I would have imagined. It is great to have a husband who really cares about what's going on.
